Hand vs Hand Equity Calculator
Evaluate your win odds against 1–5 opponents in Texas Hold'em. Add board cards for accurate post-flop calculations.
Comment utiliser
1. Cliquez sur une case joueur ou board pour l'activer, puis sélectionnez les cartes dans le picker.
2. Chaque joueur doit avoir exactement 2 cartes pour participer au calcul.
3. Le board est optionnel (0, 3, 4 ou 5 cartes). Sans board = pré-flop equity.
4. Avec 2-3 joueurs sans board : Monte Carlo 3 000-5 000 itérations. Avec board complet : calcul exact.

How to use this poker equity calculator
Equity is your share of the pot in the long run — the percentage of the time your hand (or range) wins at showdown. It drives every profitable decision at the table: a call is correct when your equity beats the price the pot is laying you, which is exactly what pot odds measure. This free calculator matches up to 6 Texas Hold'em hands, preflop or on any board, using either exact enumeration (every possible runout) or a Monte Carlo simulation with an error margin under 1%.
Typical uses: settle a classic match-up (AA is roughly 82% against KK preflop), check how much a flush draw is really worth on the turn (~18-20%), or measure how a dry versus wet board shifts the edge between two ranges. To turn raw equities into decisions, pair the tool with our guides on estimating chances without complex math and range versus range advantage.
Three steps to a reliable number
- Enter your hole cards, then one or more opponent hands (or leave them random to model an unknown range).
- Add board cards for flop, turn or river spots — equity swings hard street by street.
- Read the win/tie percentages and compare them with the pot odds of the decision you face.
Preflop equity reference (heads-up)
| Match-up | Approx. equity |
|---|---|
| AA vs KK | 82% / 18% |
| KK vs AKs | 66% / 34% |
| Pair vs two overcards (QQ vs AKo) | 57% / 43% — the classic coin flip |
| Two overcards vs two undercards (AK vs 76s) | 60% / 40% |
| Dominated hand (AQ vs AK) | 27% / 73% |
Frequently asked questions
+Does this calculator work for Omaha (PLO)?
No — it is built for Texas Hold'em (2 hole cards). PLO equities involve 4-card combinations and play by different rules of thumb; a Hold'em number applied to PLO will mislead you.
+Exact calculation or Monte Carlo — which should I pick?
Exact enumeration evaluates every possible runout and is the reference when few cards are unknown (turn or river spots). Monte Carlo samples thousands of random boards and answers almost instantly preflop, within about 1% of the exact figure.
+How do I use equity at the table, where I cannot run a calculator?
Count your outs and apply the rule of 2 and 4: multiply outs by 4 on the flop (two cards to come) or by 2 on the turn for a solid estimate. Use this tool between sessions to calibrate those estimates against exact numbers.
